Passport Validity

Most travelers to India will need a passport. Indian citizens traveling domestically will need a government-issued photo ID (but traveling with a passport is also encouraged).

Your passport must:

  • Be valid for six months after your arrival date into India.
  • Have at least two blank pages for stamps.

If you are transiting through other countries, they may have additional passport requirements.

Passport Processing Times:

Check your country's requirements to allow sufficient time for processing. Expedited options may be available at an additional cost.

Tourist Visas

E-visas or tourist visas are required for most travelers to India. Entry requirements vary significantly based on citizenship and travel routes.

When winners are announced, we strongly recommend using visa service companies – such as Sherpa – to navigate these requirements. Processing fees and service costs can be expensed.

Winners can contact WinnersCircle@itagroup.com for assistance with documentation for visa applications. Once announced, Travel Headquarters will work directly with winners to ensure they have the proper documentation.

Travel or Exit Visas

Some countries require you to apply to leave the country. Delays in processing can cause this process to take months to obtain. Here’s what you can do:

  • If your country requires an appointment, schedule your appointment now.
  • As soon as winners are announced, contact WinnersCircle@itagroup.com to request assistance in gaining a visa letter of invitation.

Best Practices

Keep these tips in mind:

  • The name on your passport must exactly match the name on your airline ticket, including any middle name or initial.
  • Check requirements for your travel route, as countries vary in their blank page requirements for entry.
  • Take photos or make copies of your passport to keep at home and in your luggage – this speeds up the replacement process if lost or stolen.
